I am so pissed off that I fell for GE … I am so pissed off that I fell for GE again. First I bought their closet lights with remote, that failed after one month. So I bought this lantern and the batteries, and it is impossible to get the bottom back on once you have put the batteries in. Never again, GE, never again.
Great portable light for an unlimited number of uses. Bought this for our hurricane preparation (we live in NC). We had the chrome one but gave it to our daughter. This Red one (if you shop, you’ll see the two) is brighter, and has the USB charging port in case you need to top up your cell phones while power is out at your house. Of course, this lantern can be used for camping, back yard parties, or as a service light in your attic/crawlspace, whatever. Brighter then Bright I have not used this yet except to test it out. I tried several different lanterns and none of them were very bright. I then learned to ignore the specs on the lanterns since it seems everyone is measuring the lumens differently or lumens + something else equals how bright the lantern will be and I cannot figure out what the something else is. I tried out many lanterns with more lumens and none of them were that bright and I even compared several together with different lumens and could not…
